The Goal

Staff Retention

This bank’s goal was to show their staff that they were actively working to reduce their impact on the world, and attract and retain employees who might have been sceptical of their commitment to preventing climate change

The Solution

This popular, international bank worked with Jump to create a  global centralised platform for all employees. Using this platform, they could reward their staff to take more sustainable actions in their daily lives.

This programme encompasses regions including the UK, India, America, Europe, and APAC, ensuring that all employees can participate in meaningful environmental actions. The initiative aligns with the bank’s purpose of championing innovation and sustainability to make a positive, enduring difference.

In the UK, activities such as Earth Hour, World Environment Day, and Sustainability September have significantly boosted participation. India has witnessed substantial sign-ups, especially through colleague emails and on-site promotions tied to internal initiatives and policy introductions. In America, the programme has been well-received during town hall events, leading to consistent increases in sustainable actions reported.

One of the key components of the programme is its comprehensive suite of activities and rewards. Employees earn green points by logging sustainable actions such as recycling, reducing food waste, and saving water. Regular updates and new features, such as the interactive activity feed and achievement badges, keep the programme fresh and engaging, encouraging continuous participation.

Communications play a crucial role in maintaining high engagement levels. Jump’s dedicated communications managers work closely with the bank to craft compelling messages, newsletters, and re-engagement campaigns. This ensures that employees remain informed and motivated to participate. The programme’s success is further bolstered by feedback loops, where participants see the tangible impact of their actions, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose in driving sustainability at the bank.
