University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust - Choosing Greener
Staff at UHP NHS Trust showed interest in sustainability, but it was difficult to maintain momentum around behaviour change initiatives due to limited resources. In 2022, the trust partnered with Team Jump to launch Choosing Greener, which empowered staff to take specific sustainable actions in their everyday life.

A bespoke engagement programme, which provides University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust with dedicated engagement support.
Mobile App
The programme comes with a mobile app, which allows users to log actions on the go.
Carbon Calculator
We also created a carbon calculator to measure the emissions of both work and home activities.
Activities
Activities from the Choosing Greener app include the Gloves Off Challenge, promoting hand health and hygiene over glove use.
Programme Management Dashboard
Sustainability Managers can see how they reduced their scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions via the programme.
Impact Dashboard
Members can see their impact, from carbon emissions and energy avoided, to minutes of exercise and money saved.
