We’re rounding up some of our recent sustainability success stories, where our partners have created a culture of sustainability in their organisation. In this blog, you’ll discover how a global water company, a county council, and an NHS trust used their programmes to motivate meaningful environmental action.

Nijhuis Saur Industries

Nijhuis Saur Industries, a world leader in water technology, came to us with a clear objective. They wanted to combine sustainability and compliance in one easy-to-use gamified platform. Their UK team partnered with us to run a programme that brought employees together across locations.

By logging actions through the platform, employees saw how small daily behaviours added up to real impact. As a result, they have avoided over 8,000 kg of CO₂ emissions since November 2024. You can read more in our full case study, which showcases how gamification helped Nijhuis boost engagement while driving progress on their corporate sustainability goals.

Derbyshire County Council

In collaboration with Midlands Net Zero Hub and Derbyshire County Council, we launched a programme aimed at engaging residents in reducing their environmental impact. Since April 2025, residents across the county have already logged nearly 10,000 actions.

The real success story is the new innovations that Midlands Net Zero Hub have enabled us to build. With this support, we were able to build the Green Home Guide. This is a brand new interactive e-learning tool. Users can view objects in different rooms in their house and receive advice to reduce their impact using these objects.

Our Derbyshire case study highlights how the Green Home Guide works. It is currently engaging members with how they can reduce the carbon footprint of their entire household.

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Foundation Trust

The NHS is on a mission to become the world’s first net-zero health system. At University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, their Team Jump programme helped connect that mission to day-to-day staff behaviours.

Staff at Plymouth embraced the programme’s activities, with over 367,000 logged actions and 276,000 kg of CO₂e avoided. When we spoke to UHP’s sustainability manager, Kirsty Wavish, earlier this year, she highlighted the level of service provided by our team. We worked to keep members engaged with the programme. Learn more in the full case study, including a testimonial video from Kirsty herself.

Why is Sustainability Important to Business Success?

Each of these sustainability engagement success stories show how our partners are leading the way in sustainability. By bringing your team along on your sustainability journey, you too can reduce operating costs. You can also stay ahead of policy changes.

Whether you’re a business, university, council, or hospital, one thing is clear: people-powered climate action works. At Team Jump, we offer a free Sustainability Engagement Health Check, worth £500. This helps you find the gaps in your sustainability engagement strategy. It also discusses ideas and opportunities to close them.
